Patrick Joseph “Pat” Buchanan, född 2 november 1938 i Washington, D.C., är en amerikansk presidentkandidat, journalist, tillika författare. Här talar han om sin bok; Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?
Ett samhälle överlever inte utan moral och etik, och jag tänker på en afrikansk IT-student, som bodde inneboende hos mig på norra Cypern en termin, och som sa mig:
– Ni i väst lever som ormar, och har inte ens respekt för era egna mödrar. Får jag barn i väst tar jag dem genast till Afrika för annars får jag barn som sätter sig upp mot äldre, och då går barnen och samhället sönder.
Det går inte att säga emot honom när man ser kaoset och vanvettet som blommar för fullt i skrivandets stund.
